Where's the Customer Service. FAIL

Pros: Relatively inexpensive ($410 @ Sam's Club), Audio capable, decent controls.Cons: round "cushions" in foot support hurt, ability to fold makes it less sturdy, no customer service.I did some research before purchasing. I could not find an elliptical machine with similar build and options for the price. I saw some reviews talking about poor customer service; but hoped I would never need to call.First; I mostly like the elliptical machine. The screen, smooth motion, decent stride length and audio (I listen to audio books when I work out) were plusses. I wasn't sure if I would like the round foot cushions. Turns out wife and I hated them. Feet are dead asleep by the time I finish 45 min work out. Less sturdy and squeaked. I contribute this to folding joint in center of floor joist. I re-tighted large support bolts and was better.. but I suspect will squeak more with lots of use.Deal breaker was customer support. There isn't any. My unit make an awful buzzing noise at level one. Sounds like the motor that controls resistance just cycles and cycles. Raise to level 4 and it goes away.. until you go back to level one. They have big sheet of paper asking to call service number before returning product.. so I called support number listed and sat on hold for 2 hrs and 21 minutes before I hung up. They have a "keep your place in queue - call you back when it's your turn" feature, but only runs for first little while ( <30 min). I hung up, called back and selected this option. Never received call back. I called first thing next morning and again selected call back feature. It's been 10 days.. I have not received any calls from ProForm support. Worst support with any product ever. I returned product to Sam's Club.

We got as far as attaching the front and back stabilizers (steps 1-2). The front went on just fine. The back, however, did not. The holes for the bolts were not aligned exactly right so the bolts do not go in all the way. We've noticed from looking at other parts that this is going to continue to be a problem. Also, we noticed when we pulled the upright from the box that it was damaged. We called customer care the next day and they recommended that we return the product since they don't even have another upright to send out. Too bad! Very frustrating and disappointing!

We did some research, and purchased this elliptical after Christmas. For the first several days, it was fine. The front end was a wee bit shaky and had a small squeak, but nothing drastic. We knew we weren't buying a gym grade machine, so we didn't expect perfection. However, after using it over the last 2 weeks, the squeak has developed into an annoying screech that is present any time the thing is moving at all! My husband has tried tightening screws and adding grease, but to no avail. Also, the ipod connection is shorting out and the display screen goes in and out when this occurs. Again, my husband has double checked the connections and everything appears correct. Lastly, the treads on the foot pedals are just not working for me. They are these little round half balls that stick up. Every time I have used the elliptical, they have caused my left foot to tingle and almost go to sleep. I thought after the first few uses I would adjust and it wouldn't bother me. Wrong! I haven't had this problem with other machines I've used that had ridge treads. So, all of that being said, we are returning it this weekend and are on the hunt for another. We are considering one that is listed in Consumer Reports...the new CR we got the week after we bought the elliptical of course! There is not a single ProForm brand elliptical listed in CR, so that was a bad indicator right there. At this point, the only positive I can say is that it was relatively easy to assemble. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill from that point!
