Great Machine! Glad I opted for it over Precor I initially wanted.

I bought the M30 directly from True Fitness for $1,647 plus $79 for shipping. I bought this unit after heavily considering the Precor 5.23. Ultimately, my decision was largely based on TreadmillDoctor.com recommendations. This unit is the #1 recommended unit up to $2,499 despite costing significantly less. The M50, which is identical to the M30 except for padded foot plates and differently shaped handles as far as I can tell, is the #2 recommended unit up to $3,000.The M30 weighs 300 lbs and is extremely well built. For example: I was amazed to find, as I assembled it, that the two moving handles are each held on by six 1" long bolts into a solid machined steel receiver. Overkill! The rest of the machine is similarly built. Bearings are sealed, enormous, and plentiful. The display is held on with 4 bolts and is very sturdy/heavy polycarbonate.During operation, the machine is completely silent. While not tiny, its footprint is much smaller than the Precor units I was originally considering. It is about four feet long and three feet wide. I like how this unit allows you to exercise just your arms by standing on the footrests on either side. This feature is not available on rear and front drive designs.This machine is compatible with Polar chest monitors and I was budgeting about $60 for a chest transmitter when I received the elliptical. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box to find a Polar heart rate chest sensor included with the unit. Nice, unexpected, and indicative of the attention to detail and commitment to provide an excellent product. Companies that sell junk and do not plan on repeat customers do not include excellent, expensive, name brand accessories that potentially lower their profit margin. True Fitness seems dedicated to the idea of customer service and providing an excellent product. Color me impressed.Two days after I placed my order, I received a call from True Fitness to let me know that Fed-ex had contacted them to report the shipment had been misplaced. They wanted me to know that, should I desire, they were going to ship out and additional unit and have me reject shipment on the first unit should it arrive in the future. We decided to delay sending an additional unit in the anticipation that Fed-ex would be able to find the 325 lb package they had misplaced. 24 hours later, Fed-ex had found the package and it was delivered four days after my order was originally placed. Fast shipping for such a large item sent from St. Louis to Utah.True fitness includes all tools required for assembly in the box. Per the instructions, and common sense, two people are required for assembly. Instructions were straight forward and True Fitness has a dedicated phone number in the instructions for you to call if you get frustrated or confused at any point. My wife and I were able to completely assemble the unit in about an hour with no problems to report.The only criticisms I can come up with is the single center pole design, the lack of adjustability on the stride length, and the lack of an incline adjustment.Under very heavy exercise I can detect a very slight wobble in the display. This could be due to the single pole design or because I have the unit in a second floor bedroom with a floor that is less stable than concrete. The commercial True Fitness ellipticals use a double post design that likely stabilizes it a little more. That being said, the wobble is nearly undetectable and the base of the M30 pole is held by six large bolts and appears it will last as long as the lifetime frame warranty.The stride length is 21 inches and is not adjustable. I am 6 feet tall; my wife is 5 feet 7 inches tall. The stride length feels perfect to both of us and I really think there are few people that would genuinely be bothered by the stride length. Maybe if you are very tall or very short. Even then, it would probably be doable, just not perfect.I have moderate arthritis in both of my knees, (Patella Femoral), and two herniated discs in my lower back. I can ride this machine for hours without aggravating either of these conditions. This is partly why I am uninterested in a ramp incline adjustment. The steeper the incline, the worse it is for my knees. This machine seems to be set up to burn calories and be as comfortable as possible, all while being extremely durable. The commercial True Fitness and Precor ellipticals that offer these adjustments and a similar level of durability costs at least twice as much and up to four times as much.When I originally set out to buy a high end, commercial grade Precor, I had zero intention of considering another brand. After reading reviews, researching features, and making my decision to consider a True Fitness unit, I was disappointed to find there are no local locations in Utah for me to preview or test a unit prior to purchase. After placing my order, having never actually seen or used a True Fitness elliptical, I was extremely nervous that I might had just bought something that would never compare to the multi-thousand dollar Precor units I am accustomed to using at the gym, and would be a waste. I am pleased to say that my decision was not ill-informed, I am completely satisfied, and I am confident the M30 elliptical is going to last for many years.Pros:-Extremely High-Grade Components and Build Quality-Fast Shipping-Great Customer Service-Included Polar Monitor-Fantastic Ergonomics (Feels Excellent During Use)-Relatively Small Footprint-Simple Instructions and Assembly-PriceCons:-No Stride Length Adjustment-No Incline Adjustment-Slight Display Motion During Heavy Use

Great machine, extremely easy usage, very durable, and brilliant engineering!I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for long lasting elliptical.Oh, it comes with great warranty too.Cheeeeers!
